Janeiro Digital and inrupt: Re-Decentralizing the Web

I am thrilled to share the news that Janeiro Digital is working with Sir Tim Berners-Lee’s new startup, inrupt. Tim’s mission is to restore the power and agency of individuals on the web and reignite innovation. (You can read more about Tim’s vision here.)

Inrupt came out of stealth last weekend to build a commercial ecosystem around the open-source, decentralized Solid platform—you can read about this announcement in Fast Company and other news sources. Here, I wanted to share more about Janeiro’s involvement with this exciting company.

Solving big problems and accelerating innovation is what Janeiro Digital does best. Who wouldn’t want to “code with Tim” and, in the process, help build the next era of the web? We rolled up our physical and virtual sleeves and leapt at the opportunity to match Janeiro Digital’s talent, ingenuity, and proven processes with the many bright minds from the Solid community, centered around inrupt. Together we’re helping to shape the trajectory of Solid from its academic research origins to a full-fledged ecosystem that’s already proven attractive to tens of thousands of developers and users worldwide. We’re equally excited to help enterprises navigate this new decentralized paradigm together with inrupt and our XFORM enterprise technology suite.
